A gift pack to promote Ivan Zhao’s Forbes interview.
The team at Notion approached us to help put together something really special — a way to reach out to an audience of Directors, Department Heads and Vice Principals with their founder Ivan Zhao’s new Forbes interview. They wanted something creative, witty and, above all, very Notion.
Because we knew they wanted to include a physical copy of the magazine, our first thought was that a high-end bookmark would accompany it really well. We reached out to Craighill to create a custom version of their Perch Bookmark, subtly branded to let the material really shine.
Where we really had fun, though, was in designing a custom version of the Charles and Ray Eames’ famous House of Cards. Notion takes a lot of cues from the Eames’ design philosophy, from building tools that are long-lasting to bringing a bit of playfulness and joy to work, and they have collaborated on a publication with the Eames Institute called ‘Serious Play’.
We used their new brand palette and illustrations to craft something that can be built, taken apart and built again, creating any structure that your imagination can come up with. A visual representation of Notion’s ethos, collapsing the concept of a website and a document into something intuitive, creative and totally customizable.
